Ash Tests

12 different timbers - 12 different types of fly ash?

Students of 3 vocational schools (Landshut, Höhr-Grenzhausen and Heide) will show what surfaces different European timbers give. For that before and during the conference 10 or 12 mini anagamas with each 60 litres (2,12 cuft) will be built and fired for at least 24 hours with one kind of timber each: pine, spruce, larch, birch, willow, poplar, alder, oak, copper beech, lime tree, chestnut and ash.
The students will fill the kilns with different clay tests. So we ask our participants to bring bisque fired test pieces (around 12 or so, possible to pile) from there own clay to the conference.
It is planned to publish the results together with an ash analysis, the test arrangement and additional experiences.
